Here’s What We Believe
Hope
We are light in a dark place. We will not confine that light inside the walls of our church, but will seek to shine it in our community, our schools, our homes and our lives.
(Romans 5:3-5)
Redemption
We are here because Christ paid the price for us. It is now us who must pay the price of surrender to the high call of Christ that we bring salvation to the lost and bring healing to the broken.
(II Corinthians 5:18-20)
Discipleship
Fellowship is richer than friendship. Here we seek to push and encourage each other in our walk for Christ. None of us has arrived, and we all could use some help on the journey. Following Christ is a team sport.
Matthew 28:19-20
We reach out to the world (Hope), to point them to Him (Redemption), so that we might walk together faithfully (Discipleship).
Who We Are
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. That there is one God, externally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His death and resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His future return to this earth in power and glory.
Assemblies of God 16 Fundamental Truths
The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, 1 Corinthians 1:10 [KJV/NIV]; Acts 2:42 [KJV/NIV]).

God has called our family to Belvidere so that we can be a place of light in between Rockford and Chicago. We moved here in 2015 following the call of God, and we are blessed to minister to a strong church community.
